However Because of my experience, I am handicapping myself so that I don't have an unfair advantage.
So while everyone else starts at 250 points, I'm starting at 200 (well, a little less)

This gives me a single squad and by month three I'll have two of those and the Librarian in the mix. fufilling the Minimum FOC to actually play.
Anyone have any thoughts?
Are you trying to encourage them to improve their gameplay?
ReplyDeleteI ask because points handicaps really don't seem like the way to do it. If you never have to up your game, you never will; I'd be more inclined to give someone the tough game and then explain why it was so tough. If I want to give someone an easy time, I'll pick a list or faction I'm not as practiced with, rather than playing underpointed (which I would personally find rather insulting).
This league is for people that have literally just learned the game. I'd just feel bad stomping on them.
ReplyDeleteI've not played BA before, but having played for a long time I have the confidence in my tactics to more than make up for it. and once they get the hang of their rules and start stomping me I can phase myself up to be more in line with them.
